Julia Marie Farrell, 59 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 surrounded by her family at her home in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Woodward Church of the Nazarene with the Reverend Jerry Harrison officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Julia Marie (Hensley) Farrell was born on October 29, 1950 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Teddy Eugene and Anna Marie (Seals) Hensley. Julia was reared in Woodward and attended Woodward schools, graduating in 1968. Julia was united in marriage to Joe Farrell on July 17, 1971 in the Woodward Church of the Nazarene. They made their first home in Woodward before living in Texas, Arizona, Kansas and Germany before moving back to Woodward in 1988. They were blessed with three children, Jeffery, Bryan and Christina. She worked at various places including, the Fruit of the Loom Factory and for Panhandle Nutrition.

Julia was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She began teaching Sunday School at the age of 15 and was very involved in her church. Julia enjoyed embroidery, giving out missionary reading books, genealogy, and photography.

She is survived by her husband Joe Farrell of the home; two sons, Jeffery Farrell and wife Danylle of Collinsville, Bryan Farrell and wife Michelle of Dickson, North Dakota; one daughter Christina Farrell and Daniel Sherrell of Woodward; her parents, Ted and Anna Marie Hensley of Woodward; one brother Ronald Hensley and wife Lisa of Chelsea, Alabama; one sister Diana Mingus of Woodward; six grandchildren Madison Turner Farrell, Jayson Farrell, Carson Farrell, Bryson Farrell, Gracie Farrell and Laynie Farrell; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother Richard Hensley in 1991.

Memorial contributions may be made in Julia’s memory to the Faith Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the Church of the Nazarene with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
