Jose Luis Medrano, 17 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, March 8, 2010 as a result of an automobile accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at the St. Peters Catholic Church. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the St. Peters Catholic Church on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Jose Luis Medrano was born on June 13, 1992 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua to Jose Luis Medrano Rivera and Maria del Socorro (Soto) Medrano. Jose lived in Seiling before moving to Woodward in 2007. Jose attended school in Seiling until the 10th grade, but started working after that to help his mom support the family. He had worked for Hanor Farms in Mooreland.

Jose was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family, they meant the world to them.

He is survived by his mother, Maria del Socorro Soto Medrano of Woodward; his father Jose Luis Mefrano Rivera of Colorado; one brother Hector Martinez of Woodward; one sister Ana Maria Medrano of Woodward; numerous other relatives and many friends.
