Cheryl D. Stewart, 44 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Kenwood Manor in Enid. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Freedom Cemetery.

Cheryl Dolores (Moter) Stewart was born on September 17, 1965 in Tahachapi, California to Charles Phillip and Dolores Aileen (Musgrave) Moter. Cheryl was reared in California, Utah, Oklahoma and Arizona. Cheryl was united in marriage to Verle Ray Stewart Jr. on April 27, 1990 in Freedom, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward. Cheryl worked in the Chiropractic field under Dr. Leon Cunningham and then later Dr. Roger Hammerstrom. Cheryl was forced to retire due to ill health in 2009.

She enjoyed reading, fishing, traveling, but most of all she loved being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Verle of the home; one son Coby Ryan Lee of Woodward; one daughter, Kara Shae Stewart of Woodward; her parents, Larry and Dolores Wofford; one brother, Chuck Moter and wife Amy; three sisters, Jewell Searcy and husband Leland, Sharon Day and husband Shaun, Tamatha Tomsic and husband Cory; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Phillip Moter and her grandmother and grandfather Bradford.

Memorial contributions may be made in Cheryl’s name to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
