Uncle Dick and Aunt DoDo,
I am SO sorry.... Dad called today and told me about Donnie and since that time I have felt such an ache in my heart.  I hadn't spoken to Donnie in years, and had left a message with him several months back.  In June he called me.... and after several phone tag messages and texts we finally connected towards the end of the month.  When we talked we talked for well over an hour.  It was like all the years melted away, and we just talked and talked, laughed and cried. We talked about the "old times", faith, and family... One thing that he kept saying over and over was how much he loved and appreciated both of you.  I will talk with you soon, and elaborate on our conversations, but I wanted to write a brief note to let you know I am thinking about you. As much as my heart hurts for the loss of my newly found old friend, I have to believe that I now have a new guardian angel to watch over all of us.
With much love.... Kim

Dear Dick and Dolores,

My mother called me last night to tell me of your loss. I graduated with Donnie and we were in band together. I will always remember Donnie for his big smile and his blonde hair bouncing while he played his drum. I see from this picture that he continued to have that big smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

May the Peace of Christ be with you.

I too was a fellow classmate of Donnie's.  What a great guy through and through.  He made Band class so much fun.  A gentleman at every age.  My family and I wish to express our sincere sympathy to the Crocker Family.  I know he lived life to the fullest.

After we all got out of high school.  Donnie & Dennis Barber had a rock band.(JUST THUNDER)Donnie played the bass, D.B. played guitar,&Tom Waddle was the drummer. They had a practice hall behind the old Trego's store. After a few visits I was invited to (try) to sing...That was such a long time ago.Donnie moved into my place,in a back bedroom. We played alot of gigs for all our friends in that old house on Madison.I never knew Donnie to have a girlfriend, until he met Patty...He went nuts for her.Could have been 1980 or 81..I could go on & on about the times we had...Donnie was a smokin bass player, arranger,& recording tech....We made alot of music & memories. Dick and Delores,
I was so sorry to hear of Donnie's death. I regret that we lost touch after I moved from Woodward.  I have many fond memories of our friendship.  We certainly had a lot of laughs and got into a little bit of trouble along the way.  One of my funniest (although not at the time) memories was when we almost blew up your garage with fireworks.  My thoughts and prayers are with you both.  Troy
