About Us

In July of 1973, Harry and Melba Billings purchased the Knittel Funeral Home in Mooreland from Ramey Knittel. It was a big step for two young kids but the people of Mooreland accepted them with open arms. Harry and Melba based their business on honesty and integrity. They tried to give their very best to the people of Mooreland

In July of 1986, they opened the Billings Funeral Home in Woodward. Through a genuine love for the people of Woodward and Mooreland, Harry and Melba recognized the need to provide them with loving and caring service. They have always tried to put their family's needs first.

In 1992, Glenn Billings, Harry and Melba's son, joined the firm. Glenn has helped his parents in the funeral business for as long as he can remember. In the latter part of 1997, Lance Clark, Harry and Melba's son-in-law, joined the firm. In April of 2002, Glenn and Lance purchased the Billings Funeral Home. In the summer of 2008 we aquired the Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Woodward, and were pleased to have Mr. Allen Loges join our family. The second generation continues to give the same caring and loving service that Harry and Melba began in 1973.
