Obituary for Beth McCormick

Beth McCormick, 74 year old Woodward resident, died Friday, May 11, 2018 in the Grace Living Center in Buffalo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with her son-in-law, Tony Caywood officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Elizabeth McCormick was born on July 21, 1943 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Loyd Leslie and Gladys Irene (Drake) Tomlinson. Beth grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1961. Beth was united in marriage to Jerry McCormick on January 27, 1962 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward and have lived there since that time. Beth worked for Wal-Mart and retired from there after 20 years.

She enjoyed garage sales and loved being with her grandchildren. Beth also enjoyed reading and puzzle books. Her family meant the most to her.

She is survived by one daughter, Terri Caywood and husband Tony of Enid; one granddaughter, Victoria Caywood of Enid; one sister, Charlotte Furgason and Sonny of Laverne; sister-in-law Sue Smith and husband Ed of Camargo; brother-in-law Jim McCormick of Woodward; nieces and nephews, Debby Dodd of Laverne, Sandy and Tony Clark of Laverne, Johnny and Kelly Furgason of Odessa, Texas, Pam and Don Davidson of Waynoka, David Guthrie of Oberland, Kansas, Monte McCracken, Larry and Linda McCracken, David and Gayla Logan all of Colorado; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry McCormick, her in-laws Hal and Bernice McCormick, one sister, Wilma Guthrie, and one grandson Arron Caywood.
