Lahoma Ann (Williams) Grunewald was born on August 2, 1914 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Albert and Bertha Williams; she was a twin to her brother, Ok Guy Williams. Lahoma attended and finished school in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Then in 1934 they moved to Woodward where she went to work at Adams Brothers Grocery where she met the love of her life Lee Grunewald. They married on December 5, 1937, remaining best friends and lovers for 65 years until his death in 2002. To this union they had three children Dixie Ann, Lee Ross, and Billie Rae. Over the years they ran restaurants in Woodward, Oklahoma, Canadian, Spearman, and Perryton, Texas. In 1966, Lee and Lahoma returned to Woodward to take over the Wayfarer Restaurant which they continued to operate until 1978. After selling the Wayfarer, they owned the Sandhill Steakhouse near Mooreland with their son Lee Ross until 1984.

Lahoma was part of the First United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, Senior Citizens, Woodward Pioneer and Indians Museum, and the Red Hat Society. Lahoma loved playing cards, Dancing, and Crossword puzzles.
