Obituary for Chloreta June Martin

Chloreta Martin, 79 year old Mooreland resident, died September 25, 2019 in Mooreland surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Mooreland. A family burial will be held in California.

Chloreta June (McGolden) Martin was born on July 15, 1940 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Duane and Marcella Jantzen (Keller) McGolden. She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Martin, Sr. on December 21, 1957 in Fresno, California. Chloreta was a housewife and Air Force wife so the family traveled a lot during his time in the service.

She worked for numerous youth organizations and enjoyed volunteering at the library and also worked as a substitute teacher. Chloreta loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching baseball, crocheting, latchhook rug making, and reading.

She is survived by one son Ken Martin Jr. and wife Anja; four daughters: Cindy Martin-Salinas and husband Pete, Marcy Seville and husband Gerald, Stacy Chip and husband Greg of Mooreland, Kerry Martin; two sisters: Terri Gonser and Duana; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Chloreta was preceded in death by her parents, husband retired USAF MSGT Kenneth Martin Sr., son Michael Martin, and grandson Buddy Ketring.
