Obituary for Marillyn Harmon

Marillyn May (Olson) Harmon, age 74, passed from this earth, surrounded by her loving children, on May 6, 2019 and is now in the presence of her Savior. Marillyn was born to Wilbur and Edna (Denney) Olson on November 10, 1944. She grew up in Freedom and was the Freedom Rodeo Queen in 1961. She graduated from Freedom High School in 1962.

Marillyn May (Olson) Harmon married the love of her life Ted Harmon on July 20, 1963 at Waynoka and moved south of Bouse Junction to live before moving to the Harmon Ranch at Bouse Junction. They lived on the ranch for about ten years and then moved to Mooreland where they spent 42 wonderful years. In 2018, they moved to Morrison.

Marillyn was a loving wife and mother. Marillyn loved and loved well. Her family was the center of her life. She taught her children and grandchildren about faith in God, unconditional love, grace and mercy for all. Marillyn was an amazing cook, had an eye for remodeling and decorating homes, made the best meals for the hired hands during wheat harvest and also drove the wheat truck to town. She had a servant's heart and always put others first. Everyone was welcome in her home and she enjoyed having guests. She was thrilled recently to host several special friends and family members at her home in Morrison.

Marillyn and Ted and their children, enjoyed life together as a family traveling across the United States and making many special memories. Their most cherished family vacation was in 2017, when the original Harmon Five traveled to South Dakota to attend Teds army reunion.

Marillyn is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Edna; loving husband of 55 years Ted; daughter Vanessa Ann; and sister Shirley Ralston.

Marillyn is survived by daughter Angie (Harmon) Kizer and husband Charles, of Mooreland, and their children: Josh Kizer and wife Tammy, Jenzen Kizer and wife Chante, and Jozie Kizer; daughter Tasha (Harmon) Billingslea and husband Marshall, of Enid, and their children: Skyler, Alex, and Korbin Billingslea; and son Burton Ted Harmon and wife Audrey, of Morrison, and their children: Benjamin Ted, Aaron, and Jared Harmon. She also is survived by great grandchildren: Joshs daughter Horizon and Jenzens children Reagan, Allie, and Jack; brother-in-law Nolan Ralston; sister-in-laws Joan Bartlow; Norma Bartlow; Mary Lou Williams and husband Harold; and Virginia Harmon; and a host of other loved nieces, nephews, and family members.
