He is also survived by his brother, Donnie Clevenger and spouse Mary Helen and their 3 children; his sister Genevieve (Clevenger) Kloefkorn and spouse Alan, and their 2 children; his sister Lynda (Eubanks) Farmer; his niece, (his late brothers daughter), Nichole (Clevenger) Smith and spouse Dan, and their 2 children; his uncle Jerry Clevenger and aunt Lanette, and his aunt Alice Ellison.

Randy grew up in Pratt, Kansas (Go Greenbacks!), and made many friends along the way that he still kept in touch with until his last day. The one thing we all agreed upon, was that our Randy was anything but a list of schools he had attended, people he left behind, and jobs he had done over the years.
Instead, he was about a legacy of love that he instilled in all of us that we hope to carry on in his memory.
Above all, Randy loved all his children, whether they were his biological children or not. If there is anything that we his children knew about Randy, it was that when we came home at the end of the day (or in adult years when we called him), he would greet us with a cheerful Hey kiddo! How ya doing?. Our dad gave the best bear hugs. He made time to always express his love and affection.
His favorite thing to do as a family was to have a cookout. He loved to nourish all of us - with food - but also with love and quality time. He enjoyed listening to music. He liked music from many genres, but some of his favorites were the great rock n roll bands of the 70s and 80s, like Journey, Boston, Kansas, Fleetwood Mac, Madonna, and the Eagles.
Randy spent 31 years - roughly half his life - working for Marcy Distributing/Anheuser-Busch, a job where he made too many friends and acquaintances to count. Every stop he made on his route had people he cared about, talked with, and nurtured friendships with. He retired just shy of 2 months ago after so many years of faithful and dedicated service and sales. Randy prided himself on always providing for his family, and part of that was his attention to detail. He built so many impressive sales displays that many in the Woodward community will remember seeing in stores, and was given many accolades and awards for a job well done. He would not want us to go on and on about his job, though.
He would want us to talk about his love of his family, his favorite pastime, riding motorcycles, and the various fast cars he bought or built throughout the years. His kids remember so many great things about him, and here are a few:
Jaime remembers him being warm and loving, and how her kids and husband took to him right away. He hated the Texas heat, but he drove the many hours to her house in Texas often, just to see her and her family for the weekend on frequent occasions with fun outings together.
Tabitha remembers that her children knew and loved him so dearly, and cherishes their weekly Friday night calls and weekend visits.
Dustin remembers his dad making weekend trips to his house so they could go to the car show and talk about horsepower, motors, and how to soup those cars up to go faster. He also remembers Dad visiting the grandkids and having a blast together.
Amber remembers her dad stepping in as her dad when she was just 4 years old...and at 16, requiring her to remove, take apart, clean, reassemble and reinstall a carburetor and also change a tire, by herself, before being allowed to take her driver’s test.
Tracy remembers her dad’s fondness for crackers and cheese while watching Dale Earnhardt Sr (lucky #3) in the NASCAR races on tv every Sunday afternoon.
Chris remembers her dad being fiercely protective, but also loving and caring. She remembers every time her dad was getting off the phone, always saying he loved her at the end of every call, and most times he said it more than once.
Randys love language was acts of service, words of affirmation, and quality time. He spoke these love languages fluently. He was a gentle giant. He was a selfless and charitable man. He would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He made the most of his time on Earth, and is remembered affectionately by all who knew him throughout his life. Everyone who knew him will honor him by following his many examples of selfless love.
