Obituary for Farest L Humphrey


Farest Lee Humphrey was born on August 12, 1936 to John and Juanita Humphrey in Chockie, Oklahoma. He passed away at the age of 81 on December 24th in Woodward, Oklahoma.

In 1957 he wed June Fry. They were blessed with the births of children Randy Lee and Kimberlee Susan. On January 25, 1974 he married Linda Paxson. Together they had one daughter, Angela Sue born in 1976. Hump, as he was known to others, worked in the oilfield until he retired after 34 years and 45 days.
Hump was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent as much time outside as he possibly could. He enjoyed hunting elk, deer, and quail. If the wind wasnt blowing you could likely find him out on his boat setting out a jug line. There were many cross country trips he and Linda took with friends in their travel trailer during their retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a member of the NRA.

Farest is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Kimberlee, a sister, JuanitaSister, and a brother Johnny.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home, children, Randy Humphrey and his wife Terri of Mooreland, Angela Arney and husband Trey of Clinton , stepchildren Stephen Paxson and wife Wei of Oklahoma City, Kristina Brandle and husband Jeffrey of Carnegie. He has nine grandchildren, Deserae, Tiara, Chris, Greg, Sara, Steven, Kolten, Kimberlynn, Hayden, and 6 great grandchildren E.J., Brantley, Marilyn, Laerimi, Chrislyn, and Acelee. Brothers Bob and Quren Humphrey , sisters Minnie Scott and Mary Hewitt, and many nieces and nephews.
